hello.
Nolan and Hannah’s journey to the Orthodox Christian Church was an unexpected one. Nolan grew up having never even heard of Orthodoxy and had spent years struggling to find the transformation in Christ he truly desired. He stumbled upon the Orthodox Church by accident when he and his wife, Hannah, were exploring the possibility of an international adoption.
While the adoption was not completed, the process led them to a providential encounter with Bulgarian culture and the ancient Christian faith of Eastern Orthodoxy.
Shortly after learning about the Church, Nolan decided to visit a local parish. Seeing pictures of the community on the parish website gave him the courage to take that first step. That next year, Nolan and Hannah were joyfully received into the Church through Holy Baptism on the Feast of Pentecost.
They have a deep love for the Orthodox Church and a desire to “let the light shine”. Having found their spiritual home, they want to help others discover that same life-giving transformation through the life of the local parish. To that end, they have assembled a team of experts across various specializations to support a growing network of Orthodox Christian parishes.
With over twenty years of experience in banking technology, Nolan is now pursuing his Master of Theological Studies from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. He is also a Diaconate candidate and serves as a co-director of the Missions and Evangelism ministry of the Metropolis of San Francisco. Hannah is a full-time homeschooler to their three young boys, the founder of Kalos Photo, and a published author.
They love hearing people’s stories and getting to know fellow travelers on this journey. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and say hello—they would love to connect!
